How do I turn off notification popping on left of dock when I open an app on my iPhone

Notifications popping up on Macbook Pro dock from iphone. Driving me crazy. Help!? Ok, so I got a new Macbook Pro 16" yesterday and have since erased my Macbook 15". I use an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I did NOT have this issue witht he old mac. Using Big Sur on the new Macbook Pro. What happens is when I open Safari or Mail on my iphone, the icon for that same app pops upon the dock on my Macboook Pro 16. How can I make this stop? It is driving me nuts!

Incorrect App Notifications in Dock Since upgrading to iPadOS 13.4, apps that show up in “Suggested And Recent Apps” have a red badge even though there is no actual notification. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Remove a single red notification bubble on ios There's many solutions posted for DISABLING notifications, but what about removing a "red bubble" that shouldn't be there? Is there a way to do it? Simple would be ideal. I'd like to see a feature where you hold down the app icon, and an option in the menu that appears would be "clear notification". Is there a suggestions forum I can post in?

Found it! Was called Handoff in General settings and had to turn it off. Thank you
