IPhone 8 stuck on apple logo screen

My phone 8 which I have had for around 2 weeks is stuck on the white apple logo screen. It went black with a single colourful line across the screen, it then turned back on, but the screen is now stuck with the apple logo on with the white background. I have tried searching the web for a solution but no luck, I haven't dropped it or been in contact with water. I have tried a forced restart by pressing volume up, then the down and holding the power button, the screen went black, it then turned on to the same white screen with the apple logo I tried this multiple times no success. I have plugged it into my laptop to try to connect it to iTunes but it wont recognise the device I plugged my old device, an iphone SE, and it recognised that so its not my laptop, any help or suggestions welcomed if not will have to visit an apple store and hope they can help.

If your iOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo or a spinning gear unexpectedly - "You might see this unexpected behavior on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch if you have an older version of iOS. These steps can help."https://support.apple.com/HT203899

Genius Bar appointment - Unfortunately Apple has made this tricky to get to directly. Go to https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ > Get hardware help. Select your hardware and continue selecting options requiring replacing parts until you see "Bring in for Repair" --> Sign in with Apple ID
