did they take away the ability to see sharing of your friend's activity with watch os 6? the watch just says "to start sharing your activity, use the activity app on your phone" which I already am. What am I missing?!

I shut down my iPhone, then my Watch, then turned on my iPhone. After the iPhone finished starting up, I turned on my Watch.
Activity Sharing is now appearing again on my Watch!

I am having the same issue... tried the order above, as well as signing out of iCloud, unpairing watch, etc. Still keep getting the same message on the watch even though I can see my friends' data in the iPhone app and I get the notifications on the watch.

Unfortunately not. I tried it a couple of times to no avail.
