Argh, sorry to hear your going through the same thing..but it’s comforting to know I’m not the only one 😬 I spent hours with apple support online...doing updates through iTunes etc nothing worked. Apple told me to go to an Apple store and get them to run a diagnostics test...that it’s a hardware problem possibly! It’s bullshit my phone worked perfectly fine before this...I can unlock my phone..just can’t close or switch apps! So I decided to do a full restore and just deal with having to wait for everything to upload again from a backup..and guess what..still didn’t fuckjng work! The interim solution is to add the “home button” it’s a pain in the ***, but it’s a solution for now!! Surely we can’t be the only two people on the planet having identical issues!! Hope you haven’t ur phone yet...I was close

Any other bugs with the beta?

LOL! With any software as complex as iOS 13 there are thousands of bugs all the time, some of which have been identified and others so obscure they will only occur as outliers and probably won't even be recognized as bugs, just quirks. And as it's a beta and not released software there are identified bugs that have not been fixed yet (or may not be if they don't come up in everyday use). It will be released when there are no known critical bugs and the known remaining bugs have workarounds. Anyone who has installed a beta and finds a bug but fails to report it is doing a disservice to all users.

This won’t work AFTER the supplemental update. If you try this, it will fail. NOW I have to immediately swipe after touching the image. Almost any hesitation after touching the image will make it impossible to swipe the app off the screen. So I start the swiping motion before touching the screen and just continue; that throws the app off the screen.

So from my end iOS 13.2 fix my app switcher....thank you! This is not beta but actual update just for your information. Just a note for people who thought it was cause of after market screens......please don’t post stuff like that unless your a 100% sure it is. Fills the forum thread full of threads that are not needed and causes confusion. Have a good day without assistive touch😉

Swipe up doesn't work BECAUSE ITS NOW SWIPE DIAGONALLY DOWN FROM THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER - I had the same issue trying to get to control center shortcuts, looked all over online before I actually just read the Settings >Control Center instructions - so they changed the swipe shortcut to starting upper right, drag diagonally down - you're welcome ;)

swanniegirl13 knows that. She was not trying to open the control center; she was trying to open the multitasking window, which, on any phone from the X and later you do by swiping UP from the bottom of the screen and holding. And you close an app by swiping up and NOT holding. And it wasn't working on some phones. It's been fixed in iOS 13.2.
