I just updated my I phone xr to iOS 13 but I noticed the volume hud is on the top middle of the screen....is this a problem or normal? Because I’ve seen other updated devices and the volume hud is on the left side of the phone.

The Volume Indicator HUD only appears when you are playing an app that has audio. If you press it while it's on the home screen all you will get is the ringer control HUD at the top middle of the screen. Just go to YouTube for example or any video and the Volume Indicator HUD will appear. It's a great addition and really needed. I'd really like to have a way to have it on the home screen at all times.

It varies. In some apps you'll see the bar on the left; when the phone is in landscape mode it'll be up top.

Is this what you're referring to? Because if so, that's just the ringer HUD and the Ringer is supposed to show up like that. You can go into settings, find Sounds and Haptics and then toggle change with buttons. When you click the volume buttons, it should now show the HUD to the left.
