iPhone iPad email account using a pop.mail.yahoo.com mail server

How do I get my “pop.mail.yahoo.com” incoming mail server back on the iPhone and iPad devices. AT&T implemented OAuth encryption for email and I cannot create an email pop account using the encryption secure mail key. Apple must have changed the Add Account “other” option. There is no longer a way to manually create a pop account with the “other” option. Now, when manually using the other option, the account defaults to an “imap.mail.att.net” account. My wife and I both have an iPhone and an iPad ( 4 devices). With a pop account we can delete an email on any device without deleting the email on the other 3 devices.

Thank you MoonJ for the quick reply. I am familiar with the information you sent, but it did not fix my problem. However, while I was re-reading the information I realized what I needed to do. You have to enter erroneous account information to get the screen that shows IMAP and POP. In my case, I entered my email address incorrectly and the program returned an error message AND then the IMAP and POP screen appeared. If you enter correct account information the screen does not appear and the account is automatically created as an IMAP account. I have successfully created my Pop accounts. Again, thank you for the memory tickler.

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with adding a POP account to your iOS devices.

This should still be possible. Check out: Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. You will want to follow the instructions under "How to set up your email account manually" and "Enter account settings manually".

If you still aren't able to set up your account, you will want to contact your email provider.
