laptop wont authenticate mail accounts

Hi. I've had trouble logging into my email accounts these last 3 days on my laptop. wonder if others might be experiencing this as well?

Mail authentication failed I have a macbook pro Retina 15 in, operating on Mojave. Since last night I have been experiencing problems with my Mailbox. I have three e-mail accounts linked to my mailbox. Since yesterday I am constantly being asked to enter the password for two of these accounts (google and yahoo), but when I do I receive an error message saying Authentication Failed. There is no doubt that I am entering the correct password, since I can access my accounts normally from the browser. If I select the option to take all accounts online then the problem goes away, but it soon reappears. Is there anyone else having a similar problem? What seems to be the reason for that?

I have a yahoo att mail account that works on web login and on iphone mail, but the mail app on Macbook will not authenticate the password Hello all, I have a yahoo att mail account that works on web login and on iphone mail after changing the password, but now the mail app on Macbook Pro will not authenticate the password. There doesn't seem to be any way to change the password on the Macbook as far as I can see. I also can't remove the account and re-add, because the message box only gives me options to either remove account from all devices, or de-activate it. I'm not sure what to do now and would really appreciate someone's help. Thank you very much! Tod

Update: Just tried again. Restarted and then re-authenticate the email accounts. Worked this time! Yay!

Cannot log out of mail seems to be in a loop since last update something to do with not recognising the mailbox, can anyone help, can't even restart the mac.
