Yesterday I updated my iPhone XR to iOS 13 but my watch is a very early version watch 0 A1554 and I’m stuck on version 4.3.2 i’ve now noticed I’m not getting notifications on my watch even though is connected and the phone is locked.
Is this correct?

Not sure why. I have iOS 13 running 4.3.2 on Apple Watch 0. I would suggest you reset your watch. Press the crown and side button in untill the Apple logo appears, still having issues Unpair your Watch and repair it.
