How do I rename my AirPods ?
This solution is not working for me on Mojave. The options button does not give me the option to rename and clicking on the blue next to the name AirPods does nothing as well.
Cannot rename on my iPhone SE b/c I am running iOS 9.3.3 or on my 4th Gen iPad mini running iOS 11.2.1 (attached is screenshot from iPad).
(I have no interest in upgrading)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When it is connected to your device. settings - bluetooth - click on the blue next to the airpod name and you can rename on the next screen.
