How do I make it where Snapchat is able to access my photos. It won’t let me open the app.

Settings > Snaptchat > Give it permission to access your photos there.

rbrylawski’s suggestion helped me to find a solution: Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > Photos > Allow Changes. This seems to allow apps to once again request access to Photos.

Have you gone to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps is camera app turned on. Also in Privacy > Photos is everything turned on there?

I’ve fixed my issue, after having spoken directly to an Apple employee, all I needed to do was update my phone as I was running behind on the wrong iOS and my phone couldn’t keep up with the apps. Hope this works!

this means you do not have enough storage to use these app's photo features. clear space and you will be able to do what you need to do.

the same exact thing is happening to me. It won’t allow me to access any apps that require camera or microphone. I’ve tried everything in settings and it won’t work. The camera option isn’t even there when I go to snapchat in settings. One website said this glitch may be connected to a low storage error

I’m having the same problems! It just started the other day! All of the apps that had access to my photos asked for access again. This includes Discord and some photo and video editing apps. When I opened up settings to give them access, there is no option to allow access to photos. This is the case with all the apps I’ve tried! I do have low storage right now, so I’ll try to clean it up and see if that helps.

I don't actually use Snapchat. Since this is an issue with their app, I'd recommend reaching out to them direction as this is a 3rd party product.

It does the same to me when I try for Instagram too the option to switch on photo library,microphone and camera access is not even there

I’ve tried everything suggested and my phone will still now give access to my photos in apps or even register that access has been requested. I’ve rebooted, I’ve reset privacy, etc. Help please!

I tried this same suggestion and still have no luck. What’s going on? Why did all my apps access to photos get disabled?? HELP!
