How to delete a photo from the camera roll, but not a personalized album

Is there a way to move a picture, not copy, from the camera roll to a personalized album? If not, can I move/copy the picture to a new folder then delete the original in the camera roll? Obviously, I am just trying to reduce the pictures in my camera roll. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

No, there is no way to do that.

A personalized album is just sort of a symbolic link to the same photo in the Camera Roll.

If you delete it from the roll, it gets deleted everywhere.

If you delete it from the personalized album, it remains in the roll.

By definition Camera Roll is every photo on your phone.
