My ipad pro 11 inch is at iOS 12.4.1. I updated my iPhone X today to iOS 13. iPad says it is up-to-date at 12.4.1. I have rebooted it twice. I have also connected it to itunes. When I press "check for update" it says iOS 12.4.1 is up to date. Only 47 GB out of 256 GB used.

By the way, it’s only for phones now, The Touch version won’t be out until the 24th as well as per the iOS13 page (buried in the foot notes)

The 1st generation iPad Air actually came out in October 2013.
So, it is now nearly 6-years old, now!
Your 1st gen iPad Air will still work and function as it always has.
Your 1st gen iPad Air will STILL get full support from third party app developers for another 2-3 more years, or so.
So, hardly a dinosaur.
I understand I bought this A1475 in August 2014. But I use it with no problems, just wanted to update the IOS & did not know that some older Ipads are not included. But no problems. Thanks again for your time.
