Can I upgrade my macOS X v10.7 Lion to other macOS?

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, click on More Info, and find the model identifier.

If you're using a MacBookPro2,2 or below, no.

If you're using a MacBookPro3,1 through MacBookPro5,5, El Capitan.

If you're using a MacBookPro6,1 or above, Sierra.

It's not possible to upgrade directly from 10.7.5 to anything above Sierra.
