I’m trying to set up my new phone and pair my watch with it. It asks to hold the watch up to the camera and align it with the viewfinder below. But the viewfinder does not appear. What do I do?

I understand that the camera is not opening the viewfinder while you’re pairing your new Apple Watch. I’m happy to help. You can pair the Apple Watch manually by following the steps under, “Trouble pairing?” from this article: Set up and pair Apple Watch with iPhone. I had the same issue. You'll need to turn off your iphone and turn it back on. And launch the apple watch app and hit Start paring, and you will see the viewfinder.

You need only need to enable Bluetooth to pair your new watch.

You don't use the camera app.
