I used to be able to touch a knob and the automation would show up

I just updated to 10.4.6, and from what I can see I probably shouldn't have done that. Anyway, I'll deal with that later.

Before updating I was able to simply touch a knob in a plugin and it would show up in my automation ready to be automated. So for instance, if I had loaded up the Single EQ plugin and simply clicked on the "Frequency" knob it would show up in my automation ready to be mangled.

What is this feature called and how to I enable it again? :)
