I can’t pair my Apple Watch series 0 to my iPhone XR running iOS13 i scan the viewfinder on the watch but nothing happens and I try to pair manually but the 6 digit code doesn’t come up

Pairing Apple Watch with iPhone 6 I can't pair my new Apple Watch 6 with my iPhone 6 (running ios 12.5.1). It won't pair automatically using the camera feature, and it won't pair manually. I can see the name of the watch, but when I choose next, I don't get a six-digit code. Can anyone help? Thank you!
