IOS13 Mail outlook.com duplicate sent items

This has bugged me with MacOS Mail for years, and with iOS13 Mail I now have the problem on the iphone (6s)

I have 4 email accoonts, one icloud account (no problems) and 3 Outlook.com accounts. All 3 now store duplicate sent items in the app.

They are not stored on the server sent folder, and only one copy is received by the recipient.

I have deleted the accounts and added back.

Thete is no setting on webmail to help me.

IOS 11 and 12 did not have this problem though MacOS have had it for years. Its no doubt a Microsoft glitch but only shows up in 13.

Any help, or others testing this would be appreciated.

Wahoo we waited long enough...

Fixes issues in Mail that may prevent downloading new messages
Addresses an issue that prevented deleting messages in Gmail accounts
Resolves issues that could cause incorrect characters to display in messages and duplication of sent messages in Exchange accounts

my battery is 17% lol need to charge before it will allow me to update. Best of luck everyone is this a very merry Christmas from Apple?

I have 2 accounts-one exchange and one outlook365 and the problem is on both. Probably related bugs: ghost emails-deletes that come back, takes 2 efforts to delete an email, emails deleted on desktop don’t synchronized with iPhone, etc.

These issues only started with iOS 13.

new iPhone XR with everything up to date.

2 email accounts on office365. (Exchange).

duplicate emails in sent folder but only one actually sent as proven by checking outlook desktop, OWA, outlook iOS and simply asking the recipient.

open the duplicate sent and then go back to the sent folder and it disappears

synch issues with email-for example, delete several emails on iPhone and leave them in trash. Go to outloook desktop and those deleted emails show in desktop trash. Empty desktop trash and the emails stay in trash on iPhone. In some cases they won’t go away without deleting the email account on iPhone.

move email to a folder and it doesn’t synch across platforms.

Outlook iOS doesn’t have any of these issues although there are several others that make it less desirable to use.

I was able to solve it this way: Settings > Accounts & Passwords > Fetch New Data > chose your Outlook account > remove the Push from the Sent mailbox.

that problem pre-dates iOS13!

I also faced similar issue but i tried to go to exchange settings - advance settings and unchecked SSL and it is working fine without seeing 2 sent items for each mails sent. Hope this helps!

No it did not fix the problem. I’m still getting double entries in sent file after updating to 13.1.3. No change.

Uploaded 13.1.3. It fixed duplicate emails on my iPad Pro.

Out of interest has anyone tried deleting the outlook/hotmail account from iPad and reinstalling it?

I haven’t as other posts said not to but I wonder with this latest update if it worked for anyone

13.1.3 didn’t fix it. Deleting and re-adding didn’t fix it.

Apple broke their own mail app with the iOS 13 upgrade.

These are exactly my issues. Worked with apple over the phone but no resolution. Updates to 13 haven’t helped. Very hard to keep track of my work!!

Same issue with my business mail account on microsoft... issue is both with iphone and ipad updated to the last version of ios13.

switched to outlook app waiting all the bugs on mail app to be solved
