IOS13 Mail outlook.com duplicate sent items

This has bugged me with MacOS Mail for years, and with iOS13 Mail I now have the problem on the iphone (6s)

I have 4 email accoonts, one icloud account (no problems) and 3 Outlook.com accounts. All 3 now store duplicate sent items in the app.

They are not stored on the server sent folder, and only one copy is received by the recipient.

I have deleted the accounts and added back.

Thete is no setting on webmail to help me.

IOS 11 and 12 did not have this problem though MacOS have had it for years. Its no doubt a Microsoft glitch but only shows up in 13.

Any help, or others testing this would be appreciated.

Wahoo we waited long enough...

Fixes issues in Mail that may prevent downloading new messages
Addresses an issue that prevented deleting messages in Gmail accounts
Resolves issues that could cause incorrect characters to display in messages and duplication of sent messages in Exchange accounts

my battery is 17% lol need to charge before it will allow me to update. Best of luck everyone is this a very merry Christmas from Apple?

I have the same issue on iOS 13.2.3 with my hotmail only. Gmail and icloud emails are working fine

It’s a Festivus miracle. I’ve been using it for a few weeks. Yes it has fixed all my exchange problems.

I’m still suffering multiple inclusions in Sent folder and multiple and very old repetitive emails previously deleted in the Bin folder

emails don’t always show up in mail app? Mail app states new mail open app nothing there. Have to manually refresh.

thanks I finally managed to span the minute as you suggested. First copy seems to be local then the server copy appears. view the later server copy and the earlier local copy disappears.

No fix in 13.1.2 as said already.

Does it happen with Google mail by the way, anyone?

Just learned you can’t delete a draft message. Save a message to draft and it shows at the very bottom of the inbox list/screen. Open the draft and choose delete and it comes back. Do it 10 times - yep it comes back. Go to draft folder on phone and delete it - sucker still comes back. The only way I could kill it was to modify it and send it to myself and then it was a double sent item instead of a draft - ha

Have just been on the phone to Apple Support, I explained what was happening and that it was definitely a problem since the IOS13 update as my old iPad (IOS9) was working fine, they acknowledge that duplicate sent emails are occurring in Outlook and that Apple need to communicate with Microsoft to create a patch to sort it out.

i was told further updates to IOS13 will be rolled out to address various issues

i was told that my concern would be lodged and that Apple rely on feedback from customers to make them aware of bugs so it is definitely worth reporting this problem

sounds like we just need to wait and see

I'm sorry but I am having this issue in exactly the opposite way.

iPadOS13.1.2 has the duplicate Sent items issue on 5th gen iPad and iPad Pro

iOS13.1.2 on iPhone 7 does not have the issue.

Sending items through a MS-Exhange account (Corporate email server on-premise)

I hope that is right, though it has been happening on my Mac Mail for years and several OS versions.

Same problem here even after yesterday’s iOS upgrade. All emails are duplicated in the sent folder when using Apple mail after initial iOS 13 upgrade. Using 2 accounts-one is exchange and the other Outlook 365-same problem with both accounts.
