I can't authorize my computer because I don't know my old itunes account password

My external hard drive which had all my itunes music on crapped out and was unable to retrieve my songs from it. Years went by and I started a new account as the old email address was no longer in use. I managed to import all the songs from my ipod to my computer and link them up with new account. Unfortunately they were purchased under my old ID. They are in my library but have to authorize the computer using the old ID which i forgot the password to. Even when I use the forgot password and forgot ID link it says nothing exist for either one. I am in a position now where I can't authorize my computer. Anyone know how to fix this?
