"Free" app

I Googled how much an app was and it came up as free, so I installed it. Then I find out it is an annual subscription after a free trial period. The app installed on my phone but I have not clicked on "start free trial". I do not want to buy this app. Can I just delete it as I can't find out how to cancel it?
