Seriously bent my Macbook Pro, is it dangerous to still use/can I fix it?

I have a 2013 15 inch Macbook Pro, cost me a pretty penny ($2.5k!) and my cat recently knocked it from my bed and resulted in this travesty: https://imgur.com/

I have a few questions regarding this

Is it safe to still use?

It (somehow) still charges, and there's no visible damages/changes to the display/screen quality. However, I'm worried about if I damaged any internals. As of now I've been using the mac for an hour since the incident and so far no issues knock on wood

Should I continue to use the Macbook or is that highly dangerous?

Can I get it fixed?

The mac is quite old, but was still quite expensive. I need it for school (broke college student), and need it to develop games that I use as a primary source of income. Would it be worth it to get the computer fixed, if that's even possible?

If the computer is completely a lost cause...

What are my options? I can't afford to drop a pretty penny again right now, so should I go for cheaper options, refurbs, etc.?

Regardless, I don't recall if I had AppleCare+ purchased with the mac or not, since it's been so long. Even if I did, I think it's been over three years

I would not continue to use this Mac.

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

I would not use that laptop. The area around the DC-In Board is severely bent and could short out with the Top Case. The DC-In board and Logic Board may even be cracked. Besides the Bottom Case is completely separated exposing the interior electronics which is not safe. While you can have Apple examine the laptop to give you are repair estimate, my guess is Apple will deem it beyond repair since Apple will insist on replacing the Display, Top Case, Bottom Case at a bare minimum which are all expensive parts. Plus an impact which causes this type of damage, may have caused a potentially dangerous condition with the battery.

You should recycle the laptop according to your local regulations. But you may want to check whether this laptop requires any extra safety procedures since it contains a LiON Battery in a severely damaged laptop with a partially exposed interior.

It is much easier if you simply post your pic here.

If you have AppleCare+ it will cover a large portion of accidental damage.

https://www.apple.com/support/products/mac.html

AppleCare+ (similar for iPhone and iPad, each incident of accidental damage) for Mac will carry its own price tag. Screen damage or “external enclosure damage” will run $99 per incident, while other damage, including water damage, will run $299. Users receive coverage of two incidents under AppleCare+, and after the two incidents have been used up, out-of-warratny replacement rates will apply
