I accidentally opened a suspicious email on my iPhone. There was a Word attachment which downloaded but I did not open as I noticed the sender was not legitimate. I have deleted the email but am concerned that my personal information may be at risk. I’m afraid to log into any Apps in case someone is tracking my use. Please advise of I how will know if my iPhone (and information) has been compromised.
Unless your iphone is jailbroken, you won't get any virus on your device.

And yes, since you didn't give any personal info to anyone, no problem opening apps.
As per my previous post, you can change your Apple ID password and you can sleep peacefully :-)

iOS is a sandboxed operating system. The attachment didn't really download.

Thank you. It is difficult to know what information to trust. So articles I have read on the net seem to indicate that a virus could have been downloaded. I am anxious to use my apps. Is it safe to, right?
You have nothing to worry about. Deleting the suspicious email was the right thing to do.
So even if the attachment downloaded my phone and information are safe?
