iPhone 6 Plus now obsolete

Since my 6 Plus is not upgradable to ios13, is my phone obsolete? If so, I’ll be shopping non Apple phones when I choose to upgrade my phone.

Only iOS 12 bugfixes (security content) are possible. (e.g. 12.4.2).

But no, there will no longer be anymore major updates / design changes / features coming for the iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus. Again the phone will continue to work on iOS 12. But in 2 - 3 years it would very well be possible that most apps in the App Store require iOS 13, which you cannot install on your phone.

Please understand that your phone is really old (5 years is a very long time for a phone), and usually people do not keep their phone for that long.

Don't be disappointed in Apple when you choose to use a now 5 year old phone.

The iPhone 6 doesn't have enough RAM to power iOS 13. But i'll work on iOS 12 for the next couple of years.
