My new Iphone 11 pro max stuck at black screen with apple logo.

First, force shutdown then:

Please press and release volume up once quickly then press and release volume down instantly, then press and hold power button until the iPhone starts successfully,

Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities. It's great to have you here. I see from your post, your iPhone will power on but gets stuck during startup.

If you use the steps in the following article under the section "If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up" are you able to resolve your issue.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen

If you've attempted those steps and still experiencing this issue, you can Contact Apple Support for additional assistance.

i’ve let the battery run out, recharged and then I could start the phone again. Problem solved. Was off-grid for a day, though 😃

I even opened a return-case! Then, after a day or two I tried to power it on again (by plugging it to the power supply).

It worked… Maybe it was, because the battery was empty then… But: This is very annoying and shameful to Apple! 400(!) people have the same problem - and this is just this discussion here!

This does not help.

-buttons don't resolve the problem

-iphone does not appear in iTunes because it hasn't started up!

Hi there - I bought my brand new iPhone Max Pro yesterday, and this morning it was only showing a black screen.

I have tried the so-called hard start/restore whereby pressing the Up key, Down key then holding the Home Key for up to 30 seconds is supposed to fix the issue. However, I have done this about 8 or 9 times now - and my phone is still non-responsive!

Do I just take it back to the apple store for a refund or exchange for a new one? Seriously NOT happy in Toronto

THIS worked for me after trying everything else...

Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button atleast 45 seconds until you see the Apple logo.

After a minute it comes to life again.

This was from apple support and I was very thankful!

Honestly this is nonsense, you buy a brand new phone , it makes you update its OS on setup and then it just gets stuck on a black screen 🤦🏽‍♂️Wtf

So I followed this up-down-power sequence to turn off the stuck setup but now I can't even power it back on. How did you get it back on? This is stupid...
