how to enable and cancel the shuffle feature on an iPod touch

• On the Albums, Songs and Compilations menus there is a Shuffle button at the top of the list. Tap that.
• On the Genres, Playlists and Artists menus, you have to go into the individual list, where you will see a Shuffle button
  • so in Genres, go into one genre and you will see Shuffle
  • in Artists, go into one artist to see the Shuffle button
  • for Playlists, go into one Playlist and again, you will see the shuffle button

If you are already playing something, drag the Now Playing screen up so that the additional controls are revealed. Here you will find the Shuffle button.

• • When Shuffle is on, it's red with white text
  • If Shuffle is off, the button is light grey with red text.

In the screenshot above, Shuffle is on. Tap it to turn it off.
