HomeKit notifications not gong to series 5 watch

Not all of my notifications are showing up on my series 5 watch. They were working fine on my older Apple Watch. For example I am seeing HomeKit notifications on my phone, and my watch is set to get all the notifications for HomeKit, and I have the home app installed. I’ve checked the settings in the watch app, on iPhone notifications settings, and the settings for notifications within HomeKit.
