My phone is saying it’s not connection to service, and I’ve gone to Verizon and they said they can’t do anything about it. Because there saying it’s the phone not the service, and it keeps saying cellular error. Pretty much my phone is acting like it’s an iPod and has to be on WiFi to use.

Ask Verizon to put your SIM into another phone to test your SIM. And ask Verizon to put another SIM into your phone to test your phone.
If you are lucky, your SIM is the damaged element, and Verizon will replace it for you.
I would go back to Verizon if it is giving you a cellular error. They are responsible for cellular issues.
