Apple watch 4 (Always-on-display)

Why can't apple watch 4 gets always-on display? It has same LTPO OLED Retina display as apple watch 5, same S4 Processor, same W3 Wireless chip.

I think its better if Watch 4 gets Always-on display and have an option to turn that feature ON & OFF based on the battery life performance. I honestly don't care if the battery stand-by gives 14 hours instead of 18 hours. What are our opinions/comments?

Don't think its bad a idea if it did not impact other things. I think its not something that can be enabled through software only without really impacting battery life.

I'm pretty sure the screen hardware on the Series 5 has something the Series 4 does not, which makes giving the Series 4 an always on display not really viable.

The Series 5 has a more power efficient S5 CPU, rather than the S4 from the Series 4.

The screen is also modified to be able to stay on. Which the original screen cannot do.

Okay, I agree. You think its a bad idea to give Always-ON display on watch 4 with ON & OFF feature?
