Check your warranty (https://checkcoverage.apple.com/) and if it doesn’t say AppleCare then it’s not saved in their system - maybe the person selling you the phone forgot to put it in?

Apple support can fix this like they did for me, you just email them a copy of your receipt that shows you bought this with your phone.

If you don’t have a receipt then you have to go back to the store you bought it from and get them to reprint it or else Apple can’t help you.

If you have received the email with the plan details, you need to wait a few days. Millions of people bought AppleCare with their new phones and it can at least 72 hours for the plan to show up on the phone directly. But if you have the email from Apple showing your AppleCare Plan that's your proof. If in a week it doesn't show on the phone, then call Apple and ask for AppleCare Plan administration.

I actually had to call AppleCare Plan Administration yesterday. We never got the email from Apple with the plan details for the iPhone 11 we already have. I did get the email for the 11 Pro Max, not yet delivered. Turns out even though we paid for the plan on the 11, it wasn't tracked to the phone and I had to send the receipt to them to prove we paid for it. They immediately issued the plan email. But they did say due to the incredible volume of new plans with the launch, it would take a few days before the plan showed on the phone directly.

If someone received the email with proof of coverage, they DO NOT need to call Apple. They just need to wait a while till they catch up and the plan will eventually show up on the phone.

Did you use the following article to determine that your new iPhone is not covered by an AppleCare+ plan?

Did you purchase your new iPhone directly from the Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Reseller? Does your purchase receipt show the AppleCare+ purchase and matches the overall amount that was billed to your credit card?
