Is it worth getting macbook pro repaired from water damage?

9 months ago I spilt water over my macbook pro. Since then it has been functioning slowly but it still charges and works its just quite slow. Is it possible to get it repaired to function normally again? Or is this not possible to be fixed...

Run the Apple Diagnostics.

Maybe the liquid spill and the slowness are two different things. You can run EtreCheck to look for possible software issues for the slowness. Feel free to post the EtreCheck report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.

If your laptop has a hard drive, then perhaps it is beginning to fail. Both the Apple Diagnostics and EtreCheck may be able to detect some hard drive failures, but if they don't show a drive failure, then a better app for checking a hard drive's health is DriveDX. Of course liquid damage can sometimes cause affect system performance.

If there's any damage to the board, then the only "fix" that Apple has a complete logic board swap or even a complete service replacement for the entire device. And the complete replacement may be the only thing offered especially if there's indication that the keyboard is damaged.

You may have options for aftermarket repair, but that's leaves you in a position where it may be difficult to get Apple to do so much as a battery replacement service in the future.
