Onlyapplication

About four days ago, I got a request on my computer to enter the password because a program was trying to make changes to my computer. I denied because I was not doing anything that should prompt that to happen. That caused a window to open and show the program that was trying to make changes. The name of the program is "Onlyapplication". I did not recognize it, so I deleted it (moved it to trash). It happened again the next day, and has now happened for four days straight. Each day, when I log on, I get the prompt to enter my password and allow changes. I deny, and move the program to trash. How can I stop the program from running each day? Does anyone know what this program does?

Installed and ran Malwarebytes and it identified adware in the library folder.

Seems to have removed all traces and my search engine is now acting correctly again.

Those two may not be related. I have had both issues. But for me, the web browser not loading was first. I ended up having to restore my computer to fix it. About two months later I now had the issue with Openapplication. I just installed and ran Bitdefender and it seems to have actually removed the full program.

Just found this on my MBP today. Onlyapplication appeared, trying to open itself. Didn’t recognise it so I moved it to trash, emptied the trash. Safari begins to only load Yahoo despite multiple troubleshooting to set google as default search engine (which is what I’ve used for the last 3 years of this mb). Unsure if this is related to Onlyapplication. So downloaded Bitdefender to try and locate malware and delete, everything seemed okay. However, issues with loading safari continue (yahoo search engine and eventually struggles to load webpages at all) and now ive resorted to erasing the entire hard drive to try and reboot the machine..
