Safari keeps crashing whenI upload to iCloud Photos

Steps to Reproduce:

Log into iCloud
Navigate to the Photos
Select a photo album
Select Import
From the file navigation pop-up, select some files (~40)

Results: Sometimes it uploads, sometimes it started importing then the safari restarts and goes to the iCloud import page

help - this is frustrating!

Have you tried restarting the computer, then as a test, try uploading less photos at one time to see if that helps.

Yes, I have tried restarting. Using smaller quantities of photos works - but I shouldn't have to do this. I have a great connection to online. Also, once I upload photos, I then need to close safari and then reopen it. If I don't further uploads fail. I almost feel like there is a memory leak in Safari.
