Podcasting with two mics - Logic Pro X question

Hello!

A friend and I started a podcast and we use a two mic setup when recording in Logic Pro X. I noticed that when I play both audio tracks together, we pick up on each others' mics and when played together, it creates an echo effect.

When I mute the track that my friend's main recording is on, mine sounds great. When I play hers with mine, I hear an echo, and vice versa. So my first inclination to solve this problem is to then mute her track, bounce an mp3 of my audio isolated from hers, then mute my track, and bounce an mp3 of her audio, then put them together.

My question is: is there a more efficient way to do this within LPX? Thanks for your time!
