Remove Download for songs not working

I recently bought some songs on iTunes on my phone, but none of them give me the option to “remove download”. Is there anyway to fix this issue?

Hey there, KGB_Voodoo,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're having trouble removing download songs from your iPhone after purchasing them in the iTunes Store. I'm happy to help!

To remove downloaded content, you can follow the steps below from Delete music, movies, and TV shows from your device - Apple Support:

"Delete items in the Apple Music app

You can delete single items in the Music app on your iOS device or the Apple Music app on your Android device.

  1. In the Apple Music app, find the item that you want to delete. If you see  next to the item, the item is stored in the cloud, not on your device. When items are stored in the cloud, they don't use any storage on your device.
  2. Press and hold the item that you want to delete.
  3. In the menu that appears, tap Remove.
  4. When prompted to confirm, tap either Remove Download or Remove Downloads. If you see "Delete from Library," you added the item through Apple Music. Tap "Delete from Library" to remove it from all of your devices and iCloud Music Library.""

You can also delete the songs from the Settings app > General > iPhone Storage > Music. Swipe from right to left on an artist, song, or album to delete it.

Cheers.

Thanks for following up, KGB_Voodoo!

As stated in the previously provided instructions, if you see the option to "Delete from Library", this means you added the track through Apple Music. Selecting Delete from Library will remove it from your Library, and thus your device.

If you have any further questions or concerns about managing your music library, please get in touch with Apple Support directly: Contact Apple Support.
