Google drive and google photos app does not show photos permissions option under settings
After I install Google Drive and/or Google Photos apps on iOS 12.4.1 / 13.0 / 13.1, these apps indicate to go to iOS settings to enable permissions to photos. However when I go to the applications permissions, the photos option does not show. With Google drive if I try to enable calendar and contacts backup, it requests me to grant those permissions and these then appear in my settings to now enable/disable. However with photos I am unable to get this to trigger to request permissions. I contacted Google and they say they are unable to reproduce and so it must be something specific to my iOS device. Does anyone know what I could try? I would like to have the software setup to automatically upload my photos to my Google Drive, and to have the Google photos apps to view the photos I have uploaded. If I look at permission settings for TikTok as an example I do see Photos "Read and Write" permission that has been granted. Thank you!
