Setting up MMS on iPad Pro 2nd gen

Is it possible to enable mms on my iPad Pro (2017, 2nd gen)? I’m running iOS 12.4.1. This one’s a head scratcher for me.

iPad Pro 10.5-inch, Wi-Fi, Cellular

Only if you also have an iPhone associated with the same Apple ID. You can set the iPhone to act as a SMS/MMS relay for the iPad. On the iPhone, visit Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding and enable your iPad there.

ipads do not connect to the voice channels of the cellular service necessary to use SMS/MMS.

The only way to send SMS/MMS messages on an iPad is to have an iPhone with the same AppleID on it.
