Set iPhone wallpapers for day and night

I noticed this in the release notes for IOS13:

"Wallpapers. New wallpapers optimised for Dark Mode automatically change as you switch between light and dark."

I maybe missing something obvious but I do not see an option fo automatically change wallpapers based on dark/light mode settings?

Hi solomani,

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like you want to know more about how the iPhone will change the background automatically between Light and Dark mode. You should see a setting for Automatic under Appearance.

"Go to Settings > Display & Brightness, then select Dark to turn on Dark Mode, or select Light to turn it off."

Adjust the iPhone screen brightness and color

Go to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose New Wallpaper

When you select either the Stills or Live groups of Wallpapers you will see which of the various wallpapers have both normal and Dark Mode wallpapers. Those will have a normal half and a Dark Mode half displayed. Selecting one of those will provide the automatic change you are looking for.
