Migration Assistant stuck MacBook Air Touch ID (2018/2019)

I was trying to use MA to transfer my old PCs files but it is stuck on the select a Windows PC for like 20 minutes now and can’t figure out how to make it quit?

Migration assistant I want to migrate data and settings from a Macbook Air (2015) to a new Macbook Air (december 2020). The new machine is saying it is not recognising, and says to update the system. Which I did, but the error is still there. I have done the sic reset, but that didn't work either. What are other options to make this work? I have no time machine or other possibilities to transfer the data. I am relying on Apple's migration assistant.
