iPad is getting hanged after updating to iPad os 13

Previously with iOS 12 I could easily read pdf file and was able to highlight the text with touch. Butafter updating to iPad os13, it is getting difficult to select the text. Most of time you end up selecting wrong text. Upon trying more it gets hanged. I am not using pencil. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. I am new to Apple and was opening the file in Xender app. Now I tried in books and problem solved.
