Location Services inaccurate in Apple Maps and google Maps

iPhone 6

iOS version 12.4.1

The issue started about 3 months ago and noticed that the Maps is not showing the correct route or location. It's having a hard time to re calculate.

Have tried restarting the phone, turn of/on location services, made sure wifi, bluetooth and mobile data is on. The Maps is definitely using location while using the app in settings.

If you came across this issue please let me know how you resolved yours.

Apple just released a new update for older iPhones which is 12.4.2, did you try installing it?

This has been happening here in The East Coast if Australia fro at least the past 6 months. I have sent repeated location inaccurate and routes wrong and dangerous via the issue reporting system on maps BUT NO ONE FROM APPLE IS BOTHERING TO FIX IT

they are either asleep understaffed or incompetent

Both phone are XS’s and both running 13.1 the system is still and has for some months confused roadworks on the Pacific Highway marking them as road closed however the road is well and truely open and it only takes 3 hours 20 to get to the airport

I am thinking of doing a backup and restore as new and will test the GPS.
