Can't use sudo in my macbook pro

While using sudo command i am getting the below message.

sudo: /usr/bin/sudo must be owned by uid 0 and have the setuid bit set

plz, anyone help me to resolve.

my understanding is the permission structure is destroyed.

The 3rd post mentions logging in as Root and making repairs to the ownership.

If this works you should be good.


the other option failing that appears to be boot into recovery mode to do a clean install of the OS.

Make sure you have a backup in either case


I HIGHLY suggest you wait for someone else to respond to this and offer their input before I have you jump through hoops of fire when they may not be needed.
