iOS13 - Changing App store account

I have a couple of Apple IDs - one for the UK and one for the US. This enables me to download apps that I need (for example to deal with the bank account for a company I control in the US), despite living in the UK.

In iOS 12, when apps needed updating, I could click on my account ID picture, sign out, enter the other AppleID and its password, and be signed in on the other account, update the app, and then switch back to my primary (UK) account in the same way.

I can't work out how to do this in iOS 13. Clicking on my account ID picture takes me to an account page. Clicking then on my account name takes me to a screen at appleid.apple.com. If I sign out here, and then sign into the other account, it seems to have no bearing on the account linked to the App Store back on the iPhone, which is still showing my primary account.

Is there a solution?
