Number keypad during automated phone call directory (IE "for customer service, press 1") DOES NOT WORK

I have an iPhone XR and since the updated ISO3 I cannot choose a response for automated phone menus, they do not recognize my entries. For example, "press 1 for customer service" and I push 1 quite a number of times and it does not recognize my entry and continues to tell me to make a choice when in fact I already have! This has happened on several calls this week alone since the new update. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP?

To start, if you haven't already done so, I recommend restarting the device and testing if this behavior continues. You can find the steps for restarting here: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


Are you able to tap the appropriate number choice, and see it appear on screen? If you're not able to make a selection, make sure you remove and case or screen protector on your device and try again.


I also recommend updating to iOS 13.1.1. if you haven't already done so. You can see the steps for updating here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


If you need additional assistance after those steps, I would like to get a bit more information so we can continue working toward a resolution. Can you please answer the following?


You mentioned you experienced this multiple times this week, was this with different company/contacts or all with the same contact number?


Are you able to make a selection, see it appear on screen and the system on the other end just isn't registering that?


Are you able to use another device to make those calls without issue?
