No Im Not Surprised as i have known this for a while and have been looking for a way to prevent this, however the research iv'e done indicates no removal of any protection yet it bypasses this and lets you remotely veiw and control everything and its easy to use, worst of all the user will have no idea this is happening, anyone could be monitoring any strangers phone if you get your hands on the IMEI number, what about the repair centers and/or individuals that repair devices? they have free access to this information!.
How does Apple Allow any third party to access the device in this fasion - i have been an Apple user for almost 10 years now and i promote the security of the iPhone however, this shows me that my device could be subject to intruders very easily, they can view and monitor financial transactions as well.
yes it may not be easy to acquire an IMEI number - in South Africa it takes something as simple as, can i look at your phone, whilst holding your phone the culprit could get this info! just saying were are a trusting nation, also this information is displayed openly on the box in public at best.
Now this software is promoted as employers being able to monitor their staff more closely and know when there is a threat to their company however this poses a threat to the individual as well, if indeed this is used, all the information on the Device will be exposed including; Pins/passwords, account information and balances, confidential documents.
