Search bar missing after upgrade to 13.1
iPad Pro 9.7 upgraded to IpadOS. When swiping down from Home Screen, then swiping right, search bar should appear. Now it does not appear.

Understand your answer but it doesn't apply to my machine. Prior to upgrading to 13.1, I had to swipe right after swiping down. When I swipe down as you suggest, I get a page with wallpaper "No Older Notifications", "Press Home to Open" and nothing else. No Search Bar on either page.

I am having a very similar problem. On both my 12.9 inch iPad Pro and my 12.9 inch iPad Pro (3rd generation), when I swipe down from the middle of the home screen I get notifications but no search bar. How can I get the search bar? Thanks.
You just have to swipe down from the middle of the home screen and the search bar appears. Don’t swipe to the right. No reason to do that.
Thank to Demo. After again following instructions, problem is solved.
You’re welcome.
Are you running iOS 13 or higher? If you are, you are still swiping from too high up on the screen. Try moving down on the screen a little more.
That solved it! Thanks very much indeed. I really like using the search bar and was beginning to fear that I had really messed up by upgrading to iPadOS. Thanks again! 😀
Thanks. When people responded with swipe down from the top they didn’t say ‘almost’ from the top. 😊
