Anybody else experiencing problems in iPad os 13.1 using email....sending mail to my family using addresses that I have used for years just gets me a message that the email address is invalid....very frustrating.

I was getting the sender email invalid as well after updating to the 11. I deleted my mail account and re-added it. On the outgoing server, where it says user name and password optional, it isn't. Once I added it my mail would go through. My husband had the same problem, but he had the user name and password filled in. I told him to re-enter his password. The phone reverified, now he can send email.

Turn off the WIFI on your iPhone in settings
it works fine until the idiots at Apple fix it I think I will go back to Samsung
Thanks for taking the time to consider and respond to my problem....the problem started after downloading iPad os 13....it is an intermittent problem...I have done as you suggested with no change...again, thanks for your thoughts.
ipad mini is saying the same thing, and has been for approximately 2 weeks...even before the update that I installed last night hoping it would fix the issue. I’m able to receive email, but not able to receive anything.Veryfrustrationg as I no longer have an iphone...have to admit, you’re losing me apple, one piece at a time!
I am assuming you have called the Apple helpline for their assistance - sounds like you have a really strange issue - good luck!
Mine just keeps saying the server is unresponsive. It’s doing it on both my phone and iPad both updated to ios13.1. Never had this issue before, very frustrating. I’ve. Signed out and signed back in on both devices
This worked for me:
Settings > Passwords and Accounts > Click on your email > Click on your email again at the top > Outgoing Mail Server > Click Primary Server which is at the top.
Now make sure the info on this screen is filled out. Username/password/use SSL/Authentication should be password/check that the Port # is correct. (You may need to check with your ISP for the number.)
Thanks Julian, I actually did just that with no success....the interesting thing is is that it doesn’t do it every time....and now my inbox emails transfer themselves to my Trash.....and the keyboard still covers 3/4 of the page landscape mode....it’s a mess...not what you used to get from Apple.
The email program has just disintegrated into a complete mess......after composing an email and hitting send it goes straight to the trash.....I will be composing an email and all of a sudden everything is reversed.....all the letters and words are backwards and the cursor is at the front of the email.....it is just a big joke to Apple I guess as they don’t seem to want to address the problems.
same bug and same really bad support from Apple:
It’s gotten worse...all the emails in my Inbox transfer themselves to the Trash for no rhyme or reason.....sure long for the days when Apple actually gave a darn.
I also can’t use the BCC or CC fields as the keyboard covers the fields........thankfully I haven’t updated my iPad mini so am using that......very frustrating.
This worked perfectly for me this morning. Tried everything else to no avail.
