I have a plug-in that requires me to manually install it. The plug-in contains several .bundle files and I don't know what folder they should go into in order for them to appear in FCPX.

Try placing the twirlywhirly.fxplug folder in:
/Library/Plug-Ins/FxPlug/
If you do not have the FxPlug folder, you may create it. [It is not .localized]
This is where mObjectGenerator lives and about the most I know about it...
They didn’t give you any instructions at all? Nothing? What you do depends on a few things: Do you have Motion installed? What’s inside the folder? What is it? Title, effect, generator, transition.
Which plugin is it? Can you post some screenshots?

Sorry I don’t know how fxplug works in FCP. All the plugins I’ve seen are built in Motion and have different extensions.
