What is the file size of the iPadOS 13 update?

Depends on what iPad and what you're updating from. For myself it was under 3 GB. Apparently the smallest update is from iOS 12.4.1 to iPadOS 13.1. I understand it actually reuses parts of previous updates, so having those updates means a smaller update package.
I did it first day, but it was for an iPad Mini 4 Wi-Fi. I checked and didn't get an update available through iTunes, but got it through Settings.
However, the package size varies depending on what you're updating from, what model, and whether you do it through iTunes or through Wi-Fi.
Thx, ypw. Updating an iPad Pro 11” from 12.4.1 via iTunes hard-wired. Activity Monitor tells me that iTines has downloaded 3.4gb, and I’m wondering how much more there is to go! I want to be able to use my iPad soon, and the update has been downloading for over 5 hours (via slow DSL) already.
btw, Google search and Apple Support search each failed to provide the answer to what I though was a very basic question.
Well, this is irritating. After 7 hours, and somewhere around the 3.9GB download size (according to Activity Monitor on my laptop,) my attempt to upgrade an 11" iPad Pro via iTunes hard-wire failed. Error #4000 "This iPad cannot be upgraded."
I hoped that that huge, if incomplete, download file would be located in iPad/Settings/iPad Storage. No such luck; nothing there. So I restarted both the laptop and the iPad, reopened iTunes, hit the Download Upgrade button, and it started again at zero!
The reason I resorted to an iTunes upgrade method was because my attempts for an over-the-air upgrade never would advance beyond the "Calculating Time Remaining" stage of iPad/Settings/General/Software Update. Are Apple's Northern California servers just getting hammered with millions trying to upgrade phones and iPads????
Thx, kB. I’m nearing 3.77GB, according to Activity Monitor, so I hope the end is near!
I did not pay very close attention to the file size when I updated my phone and iPad through iTunes but I think it was around 3.77 GB. With my connection, the whole process took about 15 to 20 minutes to update each device. If you have been at it for over 5 hours, then you have an incredibly slow connection.
