Question

bootcamp failed and cannot restore the partition

I was installing windows 10 and after it finished there was a popup saying bootcamp something is to be installed...i clicked yes and soon my screen turned black and never came back...i restarted my mac and it says windows has problem and keeps going to automatic repair mode without solution. I went back to Mac OS and try to delete windows and restore partition with bootcamp and disk utility...all failed...

Please can anyone help me restore the partition? bootcamp is terrible and I will not try installing windows on my Mac again...so frustrating...

Run

diskutil apfs resizeContainer disk1 0g

sudo fsck_apfs -n -l /dev/rdisk1

and post the output.

In your diskutil list output, the partition is disk0s4, not the normal disk0s3. Can you reboot and check if the numbering changes?

Post the output of

sudo fsck_apfs -n -l /dev/rdisk1

APFS corruption can also cause issues. This command will not correct corruption, but show it, if any.

Let us try the simple solution first. Run the following two steps

How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

If that does not correct it, then we need to look at your EFI partition.
