Iphone 4 diasabled

I need some help, my child disabled my iPhone by putting in the code incorrectly.

it says - ""iPhone disabled connect to iTunes

I tried that and the PC asks me to put in the unlock code on the iPhone.

so im stuck..

is there a time period I need to wait?

You are going to have to restore the phone, and to do that, put it in Recovery Mode. See this for instructions, If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
